I have my first half Ironman next Saturday. I’ve been working out with some bands and doing the swimming motion but for one I haven’t been consistent and two I know there is no substitute for actually being in the water.
Any ideas on how I can get ready to swim 1.2 miles in about a week and a half? For what it is worth I swam competitively from 4-12 years old so I’m confident in the water just haven’t been in it for about 3 months.
I’d like to swim every morning from now until race day but I recognize I have to taper next week.
