Looking at a comparitive Xfinity package (granted it does have a few more channels, like NFL/NHL and AT&T Sportsnet), it
would cost $88.50/month for a no-contract package. Plus $5 for your first TV and $9.95 for each additional. Broadcast TV fee (up to $14.95/month), regional sports fee (up to $8.75/month) and whatever the taxes are.
For $65 + sales tax, I get unlimited DVR, can watch from unlimited number of devices for no extra charge, don't pay extra for locals or RSNs, etc. Plus, I can pause my TV subscription for the two months every year that I'm outside and there are no live sports going on. So I pay $700/year for YouTube TV.
If I go with Xfinity, and also cancel for two months, then I would pay $1,271.50. And that's if I haven't missed any other fees they would add. So ~$600 less per year and a better user experience? Still an easy decision.
