I kinda agree with this. Why give athletes a platform to express opinions that most others don’t want to hear/see? I’m also sick of how the singer makes it a personal showcase for their vocal “talent” rather than singing it in a respectful manner. Lastly, it seems that putting it away for a while might make us realize how great it is to have something that can instantly unite thousands and thousands of people if we let it.

I don’t think I would miss it.
