Even though I agree with other answers that say that there is no way that will happen. It can indeed happen. McMurphy said that one P5 athletic director told him that if any part of the football season gets canceled, "we are f*****". He did not say who said that. There are entire athletic departments that depend on football money. Some can cut tennis or something like that and be fine. Others have boosters that will prop up the department for a year. A couple are in the PAC-12. I would think that outside of Missouri, the SEC is OK. Although I don't know for certain, there are other programs that just can't keep up with the Jonses without football.
