.... We were one of the worst offensive rebounding teams in the nation last year. That will improve considerably. Also more 2nd chance buckets will lead to more FTs. More points in the paint will lead to more FTs.

There's a lot of really good things that come from us getting to the FT line more. Increases likelihood of foul trouble for opposing players or conscious efforts by them to avoid foul trouble (less effort on D, more time on the bench for starters etc).

Also with a deep bench there's a good chance we push tempo more which increases offensive output (leads to easy transition buckets, tires out defenses, open high pct 3's, etc) and more FTs.
