No, I kept it. I just have to keep an eye on the power cord.
It's easily jarred and disconnects. But I've only had a problem with that on one subsequent cook, and I caught it early. My initial problem was, I think, due to it shutting down and my turning it back on multiple times, building up a pile of pellets in the burner bowl such that it was impossible to regulate temp. I cleaned it out after the 1st cook and haven't had the temp problem since.

The wifi connectivity is another story--I think it wants to connect on the 2.4Ghz channel and my router automatically picks 2.4 or 5.0 for devices that can handle either, meaning my phone (sometime on 5.0) isn't necessarily always on the same network as the smoker. This isn't the only device with this issue. But it does mean it's as if my model doesn't have wifi, and it'd be handy to check stuff like whether the grill's power cord was still connected...

Complaining aside, the GMG has done a good job cooking.
