We started with mulch. After one year, switched to rock. Went with various kinds
We live in an area that can get windy and I got tired of clearing mulch from my yard.
Haven't regretted the rock at all. Some have mentioned a potentially 'trashy' look from rock. While true, when done correctly, I think it actually loooks better than mulch. And WAY easier to maintain.
