I remember the video and the commentary I remember is that most thought both escalated the situation and both had some fault. Not really comparable to the situation with a pregnancy. Also, if the woman had actually shot the other woman, I think most would agree that was a horrible overreaction.

I think when you start talking about "potentially threatening" the ability to "live your life" and "enjoy your hobbies" you are well beyond any sense of reasonable justification for use of force. You can still live life and have hobbies with children by the way.
