there was a paper back published by the daily herald on the BYU 84 team
I read it like 100 times (I was 14 I think) lots of articles by Marion Dunn , Patti Edwards and a young sports writer named Dick Harmon. It was a compilation of articles from the games of 1984 and leading up to and after the national championship. An article in that book quoted the Baylor coach and to support what you said, went something like:
"I coached against both BYU and Oklahoma this year. Against Oklahoma, I felt if we just got our offense going we could win. Against BYU we were outclassed in every aspect of the game"
