My water heater is leaking so it needs to be replaced. Many years ago I posted about a strange problem that we have with our water heater when the wind blows from the north- as best as I can tell, the exhaust vent is in a place where the wind will create a pressure differential that prevents the exhaust from escaping when the burner is on, so no new air is brought in and the flame (including pilot light) just suffocates and dies.
But I found this power vent version of a water heater- I am wondering if this would be enough to solve my problem.
