Then why not just cancel all games in the month of September?
Do you realize the nightmare that would come from totally changing the entire schedule at this point to "move things around"?

Either way, I'd have less problem with it if they keep their contract and pay the penalties for canceling the game. That is, if it really is in the best interest of the student athletes and the fans. Otherwise, it just smacks of a money grab to get everything they possible can salvage out of the situation and not have to pay any penalties. Maybe they'll start to think about saving for an emergency fund in the future instead of leveraging every dollar they make back into the program and ultimately running a deficit in spite of tens and even hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue every year.
