How much can someone reasonably expect to extend their “one putt” radius?
Someone posted a day or two ago the putting percentage on the PGA. 3ft was like 95%, 5 feet was ~75%, 10 feet was like 38%. How much can an average amateur improve their “one putt” radius? Might reduce 3-putts but not likely to reduce 2-putts too much. Most initial putts are going to be well beyond the “one putt” range. But again, you reduce by a single stroke at a time. Whereas, someone who can’t keep the ball in the fairway and therefore has longer approach shots, or obstructed approach shots, is likely to lose at least a single stroke from a bad drive.
