When COVID finally settles down and things are back to normal, why again isn’t BYU pursuing a football only spot in the
Big 12?

BYU keeps the WCC for all other sports, maybe we make a scheduling agreement of something but not a big deal. This significantly decreases the worries about travel costs for Big 12 schools.

Big 12 gets to play a balanced round robin schedule, and doesn’t have to pay for a full time member. Maybe $20 million a year, which is a raise from our current TV deal.

I don’t know, wishful thinking on my part. But who really says no? Not BYU. Does the Big 12 want to accept a football only member? Maybe not in 2010 or 2016, but it seems like things have changed. Does ESPN go along with this?
