RE: Has anyone summited the Grand Teton?
Ive climbed it a few times.

Depends on your experience level.

The standard Owen Spaulding route was pretty straightforward IMO as far as an alpine rock climb-but it is alpine rock There are something that are different with that compared to gym/sport/and even trad climbing. We roped up and belayed really only through the belly crawl and chimney pitches. The catwalk and seargants chimney we scrambled/climbed unroped (it’s like mostly 4th class) because it was late in the day and we were trying to move fast. If you are a competetant trad climber and have somebody else with you that is as well, I think you’d be fine as the route is actually pretty short from the upper saddle up (a couple of pitches) and its pretty easy to bail on if needed. There’s are just the two rappels down (down seargants chimney and then the overhung one back to upper saddle).

Some of the other routes (The upper exum) is as a little bit more tricky in terms of route finding as there are lots of options and it’s a longer route. if you’re aren’t efficient in terms of belay transitions, etc it can take a longer time than you’d expect.

If you have any specific questions, pm me.
