i like maintaining red at the beginning of the name, but tails doesn't do it for
me. Seems hard to cheer for the 'tails. Seems like it would be to easy game for other teams... kick some tail etc.
Although "tail"gating could pick up. I like the nod to the tuskegee airmen. But for the connection to land with people you'd almost need to name them airmen. Which would defeat the advantage of red tails. Redtails almost sounds like redcoats...which is opposite what you would want a washington DC team to be named. I just don't think enough of the public knows the connection between redtails and Tuskegee airmen and it almost makes it look too contrived and politically correct for the average NFL fan.
