"Going postal" actually means shooting your boss and co-workers. Its
connection to the postal service is only because a disproportionate number of publicized workplace shootings in the 80's happened to be in post offices.
One theory postulates this was because the postal service employed a lot of Vietnam veterans. Lingering PTSD made some of them prone to resolving their workplace frustrations with violence.
