he's a convert that grew up in an evangelical church. I loved when he would sub for our class, he had a lot of passion for the gospel, his lectures were very interesting. But I would NOT want to take his class, it was very rigorous and required a LOT of writing.

The best ones to get are professors from other departments or old retired guys who teach part time. The classes are still very uplifting and educational (I loved my Teachings of the Living Prophets class), but are not going to feel like you're writing a masters thesis.
