Intervention Needed
My parent came to few if any of my soccer games when I was younger.
I think it gave me proper perspective of the game's importance (it was fun - it wasn't life).
At the same time, having them show up and cheer for me once or twice would've been ok.

Youth sports just brings out the worst in a lot of competitive dads. I was in it

Club/AAU/Bantam are the worst. City league tend to be less crazy.

My unpopular opinion: Parents should not be watching 7 y.o.'s games

Kids want their parents there. They would be sad if they aren't at the game.

I think that speaks to why it would actually be better if parents weren't there

Sad kids is better? Many would stop trying or even playing.
