It's not as majestic as Pebble, but no other public course is. Spyglass is as well designed as any course I've played. I have only played it twice, but I can picture sequentially every hole on the course.

It also helps that I had one of the best runs I've ever had on this course the first time I played. I had a rough front nine in a poor adjustment to travel and the elements, but birdied #9. I then went on to birdie 10,11,12,13, and 14. My caddie was losing his mind (best putting caddie I've ever had), and I was trying to stay composed. Despite 6 straight birdies, I still shot a 76, but that round was one of the more euphoric rounds I've ever played. #12 might be my favorite par 3 anywhere.
