but then tried out baitcasting gear. It definently took a lot of practice but after about a day I was good enough to go fishing. It also helps knowing quick ways of getting birds nests out. I use braided line which definently helps, but I just pull out the line and if there is a knot, put your thumb on the line and tighten the drag way down and reel a couple times slowly and then pull the line back out. This usually works for me after a try or two.
Bass fishing is awesome though. Spinner baits are great if you just want to reel pretty fast and consistently. The only places I really fish are ponds in Oklahoma and Texas so I can't really help on anything else.
