Which is really unfortunate given the outreach and efforts the church has made with the Baptist’s...
I have a source who shared some interesting information with me about the church and it’s effort to connect with the Baptist’s— I can’t go into much details, so I don’t out my source but the entire reason the church funded the classic film “Baptist’s at our Barbecue” was to help with BYU/Baylor relations to pave the way for BYU’s entrance into the Big 12.
According to my source, the church was pretty disheartened when Baylor didn’t seem to respond as favorable as the church had hoped.
Oh well— can’t say the church didn’t try.
