the initial tryout for the pros. NFL needs a 'G-league' for those that want to skip the college setting/experience.

Maybe colleges should pay players and these players can use that money to pay tuition, food, housing, insurance.... Maybe then it will become 'real'. That said, if nothing changes, I do think that the university should have health insurance on each student athlete past their school days — especially football (and possibly golf).
