The info before the deal was sealed to sabotage things and all the media blowback and anti groups would have a field day.

Given the amount of TX politics involved I’d speculate if there were a legit move it would involve someone like Houston instead. They’re in their geographic footprint there’s no PR risk and they can keep TX politicians happy.

According to this source who appears to have a legit contact there’s no chance
