Those who served missions in Latin America: Were most pharmaceuticals available OTC? Please post country and Y/N
Also maybe include the years you were there, so we can see how recently this was true. I served in Ecuador (84-85), and you could get anything without a prescription from a pharmacy. I believe that is still the case. I'll follow up with my own comment so it's in subject.

As a side note, a favorite prank of some idiot missionaries was to buy Rohypnol (yes, the date rape drug)
