I think it shows how G5s are not economically viable. At least not the MWC, MAC and C-USA. AAC seems fine.
They can't afford measures to protect players like the P5s and BYU can. They know it.
If BYU ever goes to a G5, it will have to be the AAC. They are the only G5 with resources to make it worth it. The rest are flotsum, and probably about to become a different level of competition from the P5+ schools.
