later in the year. It seems like there would be some AAC teams or other G5 teams available on Sept. 12, some of whom would even be willing to come to Provo.

Of all FBS and FCS teams to play this fall, Dixie will likely be the worst by a substantial margin. They are a brand new FBS team and are more likely to have DII talent.

This would be Dixie's only game on the schedule for now. I like when BYU can help some other team out, but I am not sure that it is always such a good idea when there will be such a huge disparity in talent levels.

Dixie's only other scheduled FCS game for now (newcomer Tarleton St.) just postponed to the spring. I am not seeing a clear path forward for a fall season for Dixie at this point.
