or not BYUs win against Navy does have an asterisk in the national mind of many! I’ve read or heard multiple sites and sports pundits/radio discussing the fact that Navy didn’t have live tackling drills or scrimmages leading up to that game, but in the same tone I think the overall consensus is BYU played a really clean, well executed game. I haven’t heard ANYTHING about it not being a deserved win, just some addressing how lack of tackling and live scrimmages could have factored into such a dramatic point spread between the two teams. None of that conversation takes away from a big BYU win, but I do think it’s ‘objectively’ honest to consider that it may have had some impact of Navy’s poorer than expected performance.
