There was a discussion last evening about COVID and football, and some poster tried to come in and act all sanctimonious about how people were downplaying the thread of COVID among football players when there had already been a football player die from it. I don't get on CB much during the evenings, so I saw that thread this morning, which prompted me to go do some research on normal fatality rates from football and the specific individual who supposedly died from football COVID. In an effort to head off someone hijacking the thread about this particular individual who did pass away, I included the information that it's not confirmed that he actually had COVID.

It probably wasn't worded very tactfully, but that's the reasoning behind why I included that component of the story.
