What is "work"? Video/photo encoding or Drafting? Or just office apps? If it's just office applications, go to your
nearest store and buy the cheapest PC there. Or if your current PC is fast enough, just keep it.
Most PCs are way over powered for office apps. It's the arts and engineering programs that take up system resources. Sometimes more than games.
