you definitely want them... if for no other reason than to eliminate any voting rights the developer might have. The
real question is... what are they worth...
Hopefully you can buy them cheap and make some nice common areas/parks/amenity space with them... or... perhaps you could sell them to a neighbor and that neighbor can use the land for their property...
