Get a semi aggressive compound and a random orbital buffer
you won't be able to make things worse and should be able to make it as good as possible (considering the limitations of the equipment and the lack of expertise of the user).
After the compound stage follow it up with polishing. Ideally the pad on the random orbital buffer will be more aggressive while the polishing pad will not
