HAVEN'T I BEEN ARGUING THAT KERR WAS A ROLE PLAYER! AND HE WAS REALLY GOOD AT HIS ROLE!
I've been arguing this entire time that Kerr was a role player and is one of the best of all time at HIS ROLE. When you have an MJ or a Lebron, you don't need another MJ or Lebron, you need role players to put around them to make a solid team. This was my original point, read my original post about teams need defense and SPACING, which is what Kerr's role was, it was never to take over the game, it wasn't to drop 50, it wasn't to jack up 10 3's a game, it was to make you pay if you cheated on Jordan. Turns out, that lots of teams have a need for someone to make teams pay when they cheat off their perimeter man, that's why Kerr was able to stay in the league for so long, because he was ELITE at that role.

The fact you can't understand that having a player that will drill 3 pointers being on the same team as a player that demands double teams is beyond me. No crap he isn't going to go off and score 30 every night, I never once said he would. I said he was the best 3pt shooter of all time, and he is. No one has ever shot a higher 3pt%. HIS ROLE WAS TO HIT KICK-OUTS WHEN TEAMS DOUBLED MJ and he was stupid good at that. Teams need ROLE PLAYERS. ROLE PLAYERS CAN BE ELITE AT THEIR ROLE AND NOT BE ALL-STARS. I give up arguing with you. Go ahead and think Kerr was "just" a journeyman NBA player, a poor man's JR Smith because he didn't score as much (funny enough, Kerr has a significantly better defensive box plus minus for his career), of course, JR Smith had a significantly higher usage rate than Kerr, almost as if they were playing completely different ROLES on their respective teams, hmmmm, weird, isn't it.
