Junior year, bottom half of an inning, home game, varsity baseball, I was “in the hole”, guy “on deck” loosening up by swinging the weighted bat in large circles. I happened to walk toward the backstop to get a passed ball and got smacked on the top of my head as the bat came down. Knocked out cold. Diagnosed concussion. Went to see Pink Floyd at Phoenix Municipal Stadium the following week. Great show.
