Last year was the worst performance in run D compared to past 4 years.

However, the pass D was basically tied for 2nd with average of 226 per game. 2016 was their best year with run D however, it was their worst year with Pass D. Considering who they played last year I think we can agree that they were trying to compensate for a lack of overall talent and experience in the secondary. The D-Line wasn't able to compensate. 2018 was their best year stat wise in the past four years.
