Judging by a quick look at their arms & shoulders, anyways. He obviously jumps quite a bit higher than Jesse too. Either Brandon or Alex is hands-down more defensively dynamic than Wade is, I'd imagine.
It should be noted that Pope's mentioned a couple times in interviews the less-than-ideal height we'll have in our backcourt this year. Of course he's saying this not because his roster doesn't give him options around this "dilemma," but because he's going to make sure his two transfer Seniors get their due (as you infer). Even so, if Jesse ends up carving out a role of consequence for himself this year (& I think he's perfectly capable of doing that), it won't be in the capacity of defending 2s. His ability to catch-&-shoot may very well see him playing off-ball on offense some, but even if that happens — as long as he's playing for more than three minute stretches — he's too good w the ball to think he wouldn't be used to take it up & initiate some offense as well. I can't imagine a scenario Pope wouldn't see that as his clear-&-natural role, anyways.
