It's like walking into someone's new livingroom and tracking mud in on the white carpet. To be frank, your #4 opinion may or may not be true. At tg his point a a 4-0 BYU is looking pretty good when many of the top "brand names" in the country can't stop a root beer drinker from belching for ten minutes. Talk about terrible defenses.
Take your #4 and shelve that talk. Today was a poorly played game. I still want Tuiaki fired, but then I've wanted that for 3 years now so, nothing new there. The won. It was ugly. It hurt the national brand. But...
Maybe after his 18th fumble Niel Pau'u will decide to gang onto the football. Maybe after 4 years of rushing three and dropping 8 in 3rd and >5 yards D&D situations that surrender about 6 ~1st downs in 10, Ilisi Tuiaki will figure out it's not a good strategy. Maybe ofter running BYU's offense into the 12th defender on 3rd downs (so stupid to do this more than 3-4:10 times) Jeff Grimes will discover the 10 yards needed for a first down are actualltoward the end zone, not the closest sideline.
If I, a stupid football writer can figure these things out, why is Tom Holmoe paying millions to a staff to make unbelievably stupid mistakes over and over again. Lesser athletes ran all over UTSA from MTSU and TxSt. BYU ran all over UTSA when Grim3s stopped wasting downs and #2 stopped fumbling the ball.
The good news is they looked like crap and won. Hopefully it's out of their system because Houston us a lot better team than what BYU faced today.
