The sad part, they're too stupid to realize those flight hours are already paid.
Flight hours for all aviation units are pre-budgeted. The hours are paid for whether they fly over a juniper tree in the desert or a stadium in a city.

And those pilots go through the same procedures to do a flyover, that they would do to plan a bombing run. It's really not a stretch when you think about it. They are trying to hit a time on target precisely. So all of the pre-flight activities are the same, all of interaction with the FAA is the same, the manipulation of the flight controls is the same... It's training. And it's already paid for. And those flight hours are going to get flown, because if you turn in flight hours you are subject to getting less the following year.

The one difference between flying over a juniper tree in the desert versus flying over a stadium is you also get a recruiting boost and the benefit of connecting the American people to it's military.

They are ignorant, and they don't even know it. And they are getting celebrated by other ignorant people.
