Tuiaki could have been getting more pressure on the QB but that's simply not his style. He obviously prefers the 'bend don't break' style and hope the offense makes mistakes. He's never shown a willingness to put pressure on the QB or to create turnovers. Any change in that philosophy is likely Kalani's doing.
