Kuhni's by East Bay golf course. horrible horrible smell.
It's basically a road kill processing plant. I worked construction on the Novell building and before they closed up the windows the smell would blow through the building. It was so bad several people had to leave work because they become sick.
The first concern of a golfer standing on the fifth tee at East Bay Golf Course is how to avoid driving into the sand traps on the right or the water on the left. But then the wind shifts. Suddenly, getting off the tee in a hurry is more important than the quality of the shot. It's that putrid smell drifting over again from John Kuhni and Sons animal rendering plant, a few hundred feet to the east.
