Once she finally came into the wound care clinic, the wound was badly infected.

Before going into the procedure room, the nurse turns to me and says, 'The smell is pretty bad. Want some Vicks Vap-o-Rub for under your nose?' Having smelled some pretty gross stuff throughout my job experience, I said, 'Nah. I'm good,'  Big Mistake.

Walked in and felt like someone had hit me in the face with a brick. Almost tossed my cookies. Gagged it back down and started talking to the doc about how to place the device. When it was less-conspicuous to the patient, I turned to the nurse and signaled that yeah, I'll take that Vicks, please.

Horrid smell.
