The Association of Advanced Life Underwriters (life insurance trade org) is
the single highest spending lobbying group pushing for, in their words, a stable, predictable estate tax that impacts a large cross-section of our nation (not just the ultra-wealthy).
I’m sure they’ll tell you all about the social and economic benefits of the estate tax, but the actual goal is just to push policies.
I’m well-insured myself, but life insurance companies are scumbags.
