It does nobody any good to run crappy plays that you know aren’t going to work. If you’re going to handcuff you guys you are hurting their confidence and I’d rather just see you take a knee three times and punt. It at least sends the message clearly that you aren’t playing anymore. But I agree that when you play they purpose is fo score and to progress the ball and you should always do what you can within reason to accomplish that. Let the backups play good reps.
