as their game against AFA is played as-scheduled on 11/7. If so, there would be a good chance both teams would be ranked and CBS would have it as a prime-time game on Friday, the 27th. However, there was a poster yesterday saying that Army was going to schedule UMass instead... but I'm not sure what date they would play since UMass is scheduled against Liberty on 11/27 and Army holds the Navy game on 12/12 sacred (no games the week before or after).
I was also told that there is a very good chance that BYU-Liberty happens on 12/19 and that UMass for 12/5 or 12/19 was the backup plan.
The New Mexico situation in the MWC may also provide some opportunities. How patient will the MWC be with UNM cancelling games. If they cancel another game or two, you might see the MWC allow us to schedule a game with Nevada (Nov. 14), USU (Nov. 27/28), or Wyoming (Dec. 5). It would benefit us to play the USU game, because otherwise we lose a home game in the series... there are some hurdles to getting our USU home game back due to the structure of the current agreement.
From a competitive standpoint, as of right now, I like Army/Liberty more than USU/Nevada/WYO.
Last thing I'd add is that there have previously been extended talks with Marshall, originally regarding 11/7. Marshall is open on 11/28. They are holding 12/5 reserved for a makeup game with either ECU or Rice. If Marshall is undefeated and still behind an AAC team for the G5 Auto-bid, they may be interested in adding us on 11/28 to bolster their resume.
