I could use a little advice CB. I’m in my first year of the MBA program at BYU,
as some of you know. There are substantially more students in my cohort than last year (150 compared to about 100), and it doesn’t appear that companies are hiring any more, in some cases could be hiring fewer summer interns than normal.

Some of my top companies don’t start interviews until January. But as of now I have a solid internship offer with a Fortune 170ish company out in western Ohio. It’s a manufacturing company, so not a super exciting industry or location. However, the pay is good and it’s a reputable company - it is just an internship after all, I don’t have to commit long term and it would be a solid name to put on my resume.

I’m in a position now where I have to either accept this offer by December first, which would mean passing up the opportunity to interview at multiple companies I’m far more interested in. Or I have to turn down this offer so I can interview with these other companies, with no guarantee that I’ll land a better offer and perhaps get stuck with a less desirably opportunity.

If you were in my shoes, what would your decision making process look like? Any sage advice?
