Absolutely. I worked for BYU donations and this was the biggest complaint

during those years. BYU worked hard to solve the problem, but couldn’t get the MWC to release them from the Mountain network. This was the reason BYU went independent, not a knee jerk reaction to Utah leaving. Although the timing may have been sped up because of it.
