The main reason actually. Leaving the MWC has always been about exposure. If
the MWC had been even marginally reasonable about the TV contract we would still be with them.

They are so obtuse that they have believed for years that BYU wants back in. They are only realizing that we are far better off without them.

People who advocate for BYU to return to the MWC are either years or laughably ignorant. BYU will cancel football long before they relegate themselves to permanent mediocrity. That has all the risks with none of the benefits. We'd still have national news sites for misbehaving athletes but without the benefits of positive mentions when we are good or have a Jimmer/Taysom.

As things have transpired, BYU is extremely fortunate to have left the MWC when we did. We have avoided relegation of sorts. We only need to field a middle of the road team to be considered P5. There's no way we'd be considered top 10 right now if we hadn't done everything in our power to play hard schedules.
