It's really, really cool that a coach would have Wilson's back so much that they'd be thinking about whether or not an INT would go on a Wilson's stat line. That's a player's coach move, and it says a lot about the relationship that Sitake has with his team. As a player, I'd love that.
As a somewhat detached observer/fan, I hate this move. It makes me extraordinarily uncomfortable when players openly chase stats, and I like it even less when coaches encourage this (think Westbrook's triple-double chases). The better football decision in that situation (a 7-7 game) is definitely to take the points and possession.
