In the WAC and MWC days, it was a bit more of a projection to imagine how a dominant BYU team would have fared against an imagined P5-equivalent schedule of opponents. But this year, its slightly less of a projection to envision how a BYU team that has been dominant so far would have fared against an actual P5-equivalent schedule of opponents.

I'm with you that I'm a little bored, especially facing a WKU team this weekend. But honestly, I'll take "bored" over "checked out", which is where I've been at this point of the season in most years in independence.
