They wander. Female griz and 2 cubs were killed 4 miles from my house last yr.

I live 90 miles from Yellowstone. Also, this female had been relocated to the Jackson area 6 weeks prior. So she traveled from the Jackson area to my county east of Cody in less than 2 months.
