I preferred T1. Very dark and ominous feel. Lots of dread. The dystopian setting was unique for an 80s film.
T2 was a good summer block buster, but it was too audience friendly for me. I preferred the completely inhumane and cold terminator roll played by Swartenager.
T1 was a horror movie with a nebulous ending. T2 was a sci fi movie with a triumph of good over evil. Maybe i just prefer horror movies where there is no real winner.

Aliens is one of my all time favorite movies. Alien is right up there, and I did like Prometheus and Covenant
